Healing the Healer  by Linda Hoyland 9 Review(s)

Aragorn is so funny in this story!

I especially liked his griping about the healer's cold hands and correcting history at Faramir.

It's rather nice to know that deep down inside the King of the Reunited Realms is really just a big baby...

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you are enjoying seeing that the King is such a baby when it comes to doctors!

Oh Aragorn is behaving disgracefully. His list of complaints about the former rulers of Gondor though was hilarious as was the patience of his suffering Steward.

Just catching up with this story ... I would say poor Aragorn but he's behaving so petulantly I'm tempted to slap him upside the head and tell him to straighten up and quit acting the tyrant! I'm just glad I don't have to nurse him, can you tell? LOL Fun story... I'm looking forward to more.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you are enjoying the story.I wouldn't like to nurse Aragorn either LOL!

What a delightful story this is! I completely adore your sense of humour. Who else would dare to be so respectless about Aragorn, but would still manage to remain so affectionate?

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm delighted you are enjoying my story. The credit for the idea must go to Raksha.I do love Aragorn, but would not like to have to look after him when he is ill!

Aragorn ! - shame on you. Your son is acting much more mature than you. Poor Faramir and Arwen. I admire their patience. The answers from the attending healer were hilarious. Lovely written. Please more. Thank you. Lai.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm delighted you are enjoying this.Aedred is recurring OC of mine.Coming from Rohan,he is less in awe of Aragorn than the Gondorians. They are quite good friends usually, but not when he is Aragorn's healer!I fear our King is the world's worst patient,an idea of Raksha's!

Poor Faramir; he's stuck not only running Gondor but babysitting its King as well. Physician, heal thyself indeed; Aragorn is definitely not a model patient!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. If Faramir wants to get his own back he will have to be as difficult next time he is ill!Any volunteers to look after Aragorn?

ooh this wonderful healer, as fretful as a over-tired child! Poor Faramir and Arwen.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I don't know who we should pity the most of these three!

Men make bad patients, Doctors make even worse ones!
Not much you can do, keep him comfortable and feed him lots of fluid and try to stop him from scratching, mittens would be good!
Poor Arwen and Faramir, they are in for a long haul!
More please,
Lynda

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. You are right on both counts! I feel as sorry for Arwen and Faramir as I do for Aragorn!

'Tis said that doctors make the worst patients, and this is certainly true of Aragorn! He's acting totally spoiled, of course--more petulant than a child, really, and demanding of company and attention. He'd be ashamed were his son to act so! Heh!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. It would serve Aragorn right if adult Eldarion got measles or something in time to come and proved just like daddy!Aragorn truly iss a dreadful patient! The idea was Raksha's!
