Wherever the Prompt Might Lead  by Larner 12 Review(s)
Queen GaladrielReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/17/2008
Aw, I don't know why, but I really love the way you started this one.

Author Reply: How wonderful it is to be graced with your presence her and all these reviews! Oh, but I needed such a good thing tonight! Thank you!

Really liked this one. (Sorry to be sporadic with feedback; just been busy. But I've been reading when I can, and enjoying...)

Author Reply: I'm so glas you do, Cookiefleck. There must have been many moments when Frodo was especially missed.

Happy December!

Oh yes, Frodo would have liked that place. It's so sad he couldn't stay to see that day. But at least his friends still do think of him.

Author Reply: Oh, I agree; and at least Sam is able to bring the memory of this to Frodo to share it with him when it is time. And they do have one another at the time.

Whee, nice alliterative last line. Of course, the three remaining Travellers know each other's minds well enough to pick up on the conversation without any context. ^_^

Author Reply: It was a nice way to finish that last line, I thought. And, no, they wouldn't need to explain it to one another--not after what they've been through!

Grey WondererReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/4/2008
Dear, dear, Sam. Lovely.

Author Reply: Oh, you know I agree about Sam. Glad you like it!

Delightful! I'd like to write the prompts but am struggling!

Author Reply: Oh, I can certainly appreciate that, Linda. These will be short, and I hope sweet as well.

I can't imagine how hard it was for the Hobbits when Frodo decided to sail with the Three Keepers. This captures their sense of melancholy very well, but also shows their ability to keep on living life with a sense of joy. Nicely done.

Author Reply: For all the joy they have in the life they live, a piece of each one's heart had to have sailed with him, after all.

VirtuellaReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/2/2008
*Sigh* You know, this is really nice, it is melancholy, but not too much so, and truly heart-warming.

Author Reply: Thank you so, Virtuella. And there's nothing wrong with moments of melancholy from time to time, as long as it doesn't become overwhelming. There is joy here, but the fulness of Sam's joy is never quite reached while he must be apart from the brother of his heart. I think. Had it not been for Frodo, it's likely Elanor would not have been born, and Aragorn would not have thought to give the Westmarches to the Hobbits, most likely, had he survived to become King, of course. And this is in sight of the Sea. Part of the hearts of all three of these went there with Frodo, after all.

inzilbethReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/1/2008
Perfect! I doubt Frodo was ever far from any of their minds.

Author Reply: Oh, I agree, Inzilbeth. He was always a part of them now.

harrowcatReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/1/2008
Perfect Larner. These two know Sam even better than his family about this.

Author Reply: Oh, indeed, in some ways; but then they share the same experiences as he does far more than his family does. All three of them have an important part of their hearts dwelling to the West, after all.
