Wherever the Prompt Might Lead  by Larner 8 Review(s)
Queen GaladrielReviewed Chapter: 8 on 12/17/2008
Pippin stood already upon the prow of stone, looking beyond the wharf of the Harlond, down the length of the river that lay silver beneath the
moon, toward the distant blue glimmer that whispered of the sea.

Beautiful

Poor Pippin.

Author Reply: I loved making this a bit plaintive. Am so glad it speaks to you! Thank you!

Of course Aragorn knew *sigh* He's the healer and much more experienced than Pippin, who was still not of age back then and probably still thought Frodo would recover.

Author Reply: Yes, of course he knew. It must have been very difficult to say goodbye, knowing this would most likely be the last time he would see his beloved friend.

Linda HoylandReviewed Chapter: 8 on 12/10/2008
Just beautiful!

Author Reply: Thank you so, Linda! I'm glad it managed to show the mood properly.

AntaneReviewed Chapter: 8 on 12/9/2008
Oh, that would have been difficult then, if he had known he was gazing upon that dear face for the last time but as he told Arwen on his deathbed about his hope for something else beyond the Circles of the World, he could hope he would see his small brother again.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Yes, it must have been difficult indeed. He owed Frodo so very much, including his marriage; to find himself knowing he'd not see Frodo again ever must have been very difficult.

Thanks so, Antane.

One of the best prompt responses yet; and very poignant. The last line is aching and powerful.

Author Reply: Oh, thank you, Raksha.

DreamflowerReviewed Chapter: 8 on 12/8/2008
I know I keep saying this, but this is the best one yet--they just keep getting better and better. This one is just beautiful.

Author Reply: Oh, thank you, Dreamflower. Each is its own vignette, I find.

Esquire_of_RohanReviewed Chapter: 8 on 12/8/2008
