| I do firmly believe that Gandalf is right. This is another apparent disaster that turned out to be a good thing and for the reasons the wizard gave. I'm glad that Pippin was given that comfort and kind words at the end for it would have been a horrific experience to be violated like he was by Sauron but good did come.
