So, Sauron even haunts Boromir's dreams. I'm so glad Legolas is there to help him heal. There's nothing like the sweet sound of an elf singing to sooth the soul.

Author Reply: We need more Elvish singing in the world, don't we? Thanks for reading and reviewing, Tari!

To be haunted by such a feeling of failure....

Well written.

Author Reply: Sorry it took me so long to say thanks for reading, Larner! It is definitely hard to shake the haunting that such failure brings, and being weakened by injury doesn't help any. I suspect Boromir is not used to feeling this way -- I think he's the kind of guy who is usually able to talk himself out of bad moods!

Again, thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. :-)

Oh my! What a heart-breaking chapter....

Very difficult for Boromir to accept what he had done - reminds me a bit of Macbeth - though the circumstances were vastly different. But the 'blood' of guilt can be overwhelming.

Love how you 'took care' of the Horn - so that's how poor Denethor gets it - and broken in two also. Great job.

Needless to say, I love Legolas here - compassionate and strong. Just what the Man of Gondor needs....

And poor Pip............

Author Reply: It's a pretty dark time for Boromir right now, and I fear he would have been quite lost in all ways if Legolas had not turned up. Compassionate and strong is definitely what Boromir needs right now.

Sorry it took me so long to say thanks for reading and reviewing!
