You always write so beautifully. I can see every nook and cranny of Pippin's place of abode. And the loneliness. You had me near tears. Of course Minas Tirith would exude of the essence of Boromir. And the Horn!!! *heavy sigh* Even knowing he lives, it is hard to read of the grief of those who loved Boromir.

And glad I am so see Pippin visited upon by Durlin. Much better than a Jacob Marley! This servant of Boromir's is Eru-sent, is he not? Love his character. Youd did good!

"... things I don't want to forget." That is so important, isn't it? Remembering those we love or have shared hard times with and joy, too.

I love that you give each one of our beloved questors a kindred spirit, though my heart goes out to Hirgon, not knowing of his destiny.

And Boromir - though sleepless he is not alone. And that is a good thing!

And while they would at least keep his memory alive, he thinks on them and worries in return. And Sauron's darkness troubles them all....

It's kind of ironic that everyone in this chapter thinks Boromir is dead, but they don't want to forget him, so they talk about his life. I like it that at the end of the chapter the object of their thoughts is also troubled and so not dead.

And the object of their grief himself worries for them. May the hearts of all fine the truth brings them strength! And I certainly appreciate Merry's frustration at the thought of being left behind!
