What a lovely warm hearted tale, Linda. I'm very impressed by all the little details you include like the sherbet. Well done.

I was right. It is much better. You did a good job of portraying the Haradrim and of the love between Aragorn and Faramir. It's no wonder Janab wished for such loyal kinsman. And Pope's poem was a wonderful way to round up your tale.

Poor Aragorn, and poor Faramir what an ordeal. I liked your first version of this story but this extended one is shaping much better.

Ah, but such mutual loyalty would indeed bring wonder to those who must live with mutual concern and suspicion as is seen in Harad!

Nicely done, Linda.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. The ending took me ages to work out when the rest of the story was written so I'm pleased you liked it.

as I said before: I love you descriptions of the bond between Faramir and Aragorn and this story showed it again brightly. Faramirs devotion never sounds hollow or awkward, only natural and real. Wonderful little story. Thank you. Lai

Very much enjoyed this. Faramir's devotion is touching, and the surprise twist of the Khan arriving to the rescue made it interesting. I think my favorite part was the very end, as the Khan reflected on the reign of Elessar and how he failed to kill Faramir, instead letting him live and marry and beget heirs... I'm sure that was an astounding concept to him. Well done!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. i'm pleased you enjoyed the story. The Khan's reflections were a last minute addition, which I'm now glad I added!

Poor Aragorn! A cliff is a truly evil plot, but well worth the angst! Look forward to the next chapter.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you are enjoying the angst. The final chapter is now posted.

Oh my goodness, they are in trouble. Now will Beregond arrive in the nick of time? You certainly know how to leave cliff hangers.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I admit I love writing cliff hangers!

Very interesting beginning - pretty tense. I've got my fingers crossed that Beregond (being already known for his disobedience) will come to his Lord's rescue... but I'm afraid Faramir and Aragorn might be on their way to Harad. NOT a pleasant thought.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Keep your fingers crossed as that would indeed be like Beregond!

Well that's definitely got angst!

Poor Faramir was a bit stuck between a rock and a hard place for the night. Like someone else I wonder whether these are the same Haradrim as their attackers, either way I also wonder where Faramir's horse is.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Faramir is certainly in a tight spot. The horse is still at the top of the cliff awaiting her master.
