My mum always said to my sisters that a hobbit likes a lass he can hold onto. LOL! That was great! Beauty is indeed relative. And a proper hobbit lass should be well-rounded. My dictionary showed me lots of funny words for the German expression "drall". Must have been written by hobbits ;-)

Haha! I'm afraid of spiders, so I can sympathize!

This was priceless! I love the idea of Arwen not quite conforming to Pippin's idea of a suitably plump hobbit lass (the idea that among hobbits girth and ample curves are good things has long attracted me) and his thus wanting to fatten her up!

*wibble* I hope Pip's not too long in following; that last bit was quite bittersweet!

What a sweet, generous little lad he was! *hugs him* Love also that he didn't seem to think it was much out of the ordinary for a tree to talk to him! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Poor Pippin - to be the last one left, but what sweet gifts to remember his beloved brother-cousins and friend by. I love that Sam would have made Pippin a rattle. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

This is so typical of Pippin! For a split second he's irritated, but then he starts chattering away happily and helps as best he can. Others would have ran away! I would not have been surprised, though, if a certain cousin had been hiding behind the branches, pretending to be a tree ;-) You know which cousin I mean. That would have been typical of HIM.

He listend to the sound, smiling while tears flowed freely down his cheeks. Awww! Like Pippin this little story makes me happy and sad at the same time! It's terrible to be the last one left, but on the other hand Pippin has lots of happy memories to remember. And I'm quite sure that the day will come when he meets all three of them again - and many more. Just now an image out of the movies comes to my mind, of Gandalf telling Pippin about the Green Country, just before the great battle. I liked that scene very much!
