Still A Jewel  by Antane 4 Review(s)
CeleritasReviewed Chapter: 1 on 3/19/2009
Wonderful; since I'm a review-stalker I saw that this fic was coming and rather looked forward to it. The actual answer was quite lovely, but what tickled me most about this fic was the idea of little Elanor writing self-insert fic to try to make everything better! *hugs to all characters involved*

Author Reply: Thank you, my dear! I loved Sam's answer myself and I was hoping that someone would notice that Elanor was the very first fanfic author! :) So glad you enjoyed!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Frodo saw Sam as a jewel, and made sure Elanor knew it; and Sam's memory of Frodo's shining beauty never faded. This is very lovely.

Author Reply: Thank you! Glad you stopped by to enjoy! Yeah, a big mutual admiration society there! :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Short and simple, but sweet and moving anyway.
I love it.

Author Reply: Thank you so much! Great to hear from a new fan! :) *hugs*

An apt metaphor indeed, Antane. One taken by evil, but delivered by another attempted evil that was directed from elsewhere and turned into the greatest of saving blessings.

Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed! I think it was a very Sam thing to say at the end. I think that is how Frodo was able to reach Smeagol and Saruman too. He saw, as Sam saw in him, the soul that was underneath all the grime as it had originally been created to be.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
