These are lovely scenes, full of a quiet and gentle magic.

I really like the idea that the wind came after Elladan asked his grandfather for help, and that he then sent the gull to say 'thank you'! Lovely, Jay!

Ah--with a little influence within high places, Elladan is able to help obtain the aid they need to reach the city in time. Very beautiful. Love it, Jay.

Ah. *sigh of satisfaction* Nicely done. and low in the east, Eärendil shone brightest of all. And then the gull... nice symbolism. One would like to think that the messages reached their intended recipients. For some reason I found myself wondering whether the half-Elven would be affected by the cry of the gulls the way Legolas was? Thanks!

Beautiful! I love it that El asked his grandfatehr for helpa dn was answwered! Adn then the bird coming to deliver messages. I hope you venture to write the meeting of the grandparents with the grandsons one day.

Very evocative... I like that Elladan and Elrohir are having a bit of a light moment in an otherwise very dark (literally!) time. Love the image of the gull speeding westward, no doubt carrying Elladan's message.

I have read several of your tales, but don't think I've ever left a review. I do enjoy the way you write the Elves - particularly the twins. This piece really caught my attention because Elladan and Elrohir usually each seem to know exactly what the other is doing/thinking...and they don't here. It was a bit of a different twist, and I enjoyed it. I enjoy reading longer stories also, but have great respect for the folks here that write the drabbles - it must be quite challenging to convey so much in so few words!
