Trotter  by Dreamflower 8 Review(s)

Oh goodness, what a terrible position to be in, rather literally O_O I'm kind of glad I seem to have blocked myself from picturing it in my head, I'm sure it'd give me nightmares! I'm sure it'll give Trotter bad ones, what a mercy Thorn was unconscious for it...

I'm glad Thorn, at least, got pulled out safely! Trotter, though...

I'm so glad they arrived in time but now I must rush on because there has to be a reason for the screams...

Argh, this was nervewracking!!! And what a feat of strength that was, too.

As an aside, I loved this little bit: He was muttering under his breath in Sindarin, and I was too fearful to try and translate what he was saying.

That is how you know a Took is afraid!

Author Reply: Too afraid to be curious, you mean?

It was a little nervewracking to write! Especially as I had to figure out how they would survive.

(And did you mean a pun in that first sentence?)

Very brave of Trotter and another delicious cliffhanger too - I don't doubt he would be screaming from the strain to his legs. This could have indeed been a disaster but he and the Elven twins saved this from being so.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: It was very brave of him! The idea that he might use his feet to hold something up and keep it from falling on someone was actually my husband's, and I loved it.

You sure are enjoying these cliffhangers, aren't you? ;) At least you're updating quickly. Poor Trotter, left there for hours holding up that ledge! *hugs him*

Author Reply: Yes, well apparently a deadline does wonders for keeping those cliffs short, LOL!

Poor Trotter!

Uh-oh, uh-oh - CLIFFHANGER!

Trotter's just saved the line of Isildur, and all he gets is a landslide on his head?

You are so meannnnn!

I love it.

LOL! That should be on a T-shirt! I just might make it so...

I'm sorry I'm mean...

sort of.

Ah--I was afraid some terrible accident would befall Hildifons! Poor lad! At least he has Arathorn safe, which is what he needed to do.

Now we understand how it was he came first to Rivendell. I hope he's not been too terribly injured!

Author Reply: I think you do indeed understand! And you will find out more very soon...

Cliffhanger! Again!!!

Well, I'm relieved that Thorn is safe now, but what about Trotter???

Trotter saved Thorn's life, there's no doubt about that.
I hope he came out of that situation uninjured. But if I look at the chapter title, I'm not so sure...

Author Reply: No, I picked that title for a reason! But fear not, you won't have very long to wait for the next update. It's all ready except for some proofreading and small edits... it will probably go up in an hour or two.
