Pride of Place  by Linda Hoyland 3 Review(s)
EstelcontarReviewed Chapter: 1 on 6/29/2009
This is a very perceptive view of how Denethor might have felt when he first met Thorongil. Such a proud man as Denethor was must really have been completely upset to meet someone like Thorongil, who deep down he knew surpassed him in everything he prized most.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. You are spot on about Denethor.

I can certainly appreciate why Denethor feels upset. Pride of place indeed! One can see the hubris rising even now!

Author Reply: I fear Denethor feels his nose is being put out of joint! many thanks for reviewing as always much appreciated.

I kind of feel bad for Denethor...but he's wrong.

Author Reply: He is indeed. I always imagine as a rather spoiled individual and he is not happy at having to share his father's attention. Many thanks for reviewing.
