Elvenhome  by Soledad 3 Review(s)

Interesting that she chooses to go unaccompanied by her family, yet feels comforted when she realizes the land has ties to her husband.

Author Reply: Well, she didn't want to subject them to the Sea, in case they'd hit by the Longing. That doesn't mean she's stopped loving Elrond. I was always comforted by the thought that they'd reunited one day. Am very fond of Elrond, from the time on that I read "The Hobbit" for the first time.

It is not easy for Celebrian to leave her family but she has to. I guess her family in Aman look forward to meeting her.

Author Reply: The family perhaps does. She? Not so much, as you will see. But she has good reasons.

I love the way you describe and characterize Elves; they really do seem like the ancient and wise beings Tolkien created. Fascinating beginning to the story!

Author Reply: Thank you.:) I'm very fond of Elves, actually, and what I was aiming for was to show that while they might look similar to Men, they are fundamentally different, somehow. For good or for bad, that depends on any given situation, but certainly different.
