Elvenhome  by Soledad 3 Review(s)

He is beyond all the others, considering the company he has kept all during his long life.

Author Reply: True; but perhaps it makes him also lonely, in a way. I'm not sure. He hasn't told me yet.

An interesting glimpse into the history of the Noldóran and the family dynamics that show that not all is sugar and spice and everything nice in the royal household. Love Erulindo. I hope we see more of him. He seems to be the 'big brother' type that Fëanáro never was to his own siblings: gruff and put-upon but very loving.

Author Reply: I can't imagine all those tragedies rolling over the royal family of the Noldor and not leaving any lasting marks. And I think Eärwen, who lost all her children but one (and even that one was beyond her reach) would have no unerstanding for Elwing choosing the Silmaril instead of her children.

Elulindo is one of those characters who just popped up out of nowhere in "The Fledgling Years" and insisted on having a part in my little corner of the Ardaverse. However, back then I had no idea that he would become such an unusual person.

Thanks for reading and reviewing, it always makes my day.

This chapter had some very painful moments, with the thoughts of Earendil and Elwing, and what just what a challenge Arafinwe faced when he returned at the Rebellion... But I really like Elulindo, and I hope we'll see more of him. Oh, and I keep forgetting to mention how much I love the descriptions of the clothes the characters wear, it's lovely to imagine them. :)

I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Author Reply: Thank you, I'm glad that Elunlindo appears convincing. He popped up without warning in my other story, "The Fledgling Years", but I never expected him to have such a strange fate. I promise that we will see more of him later; I'm quite fond of him myself. :)

As for painful moments, you haven't seen anything yet. Waith until Celebrían actually gets to confront Elwing. *evil cackle*

I always had a soft spot for medieval or semi-medieval clothes. They may not have been very practical, but they are so beautiful. I'm just hoping that I don't mess up the right names and terms in my descriptions; it's not always easy to find the right ones.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate the support very much.
