Kin No More  by Ellie 4 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 1 on 8/18/2010
Those among whom these Amani Elves sojourn are NOT stupid or foolish, or so they will learn.

Alas for the suspicions between the different groups. Yes, they all need to learn that they are all fighting upon the same sides.

I am a bit surprised any among the Teleri went ashore to fight Melkor, but I suppose I should not be.

All too typical of human nature!

Author Reply: The Noldor were very arrogant when they first arriived from Aman after the kinslaying and they alienated a lot of the Avari. The elf cursing in Telerin is married to a Telerin, but he is Noldo (comes out in the second chatper).

Very intriguing beginning - I like that little I've seen of the characters so far. I like the way you balance their guardedness with a desire to help and be helped.

Author Reply: I'm glad you like what you see so far. The Noldor have someone who they needed to protect, but at the same time, they are all in need of help. Common sense had to win out sooner or later with Arafinwe's guards, or so one would hope.

Very interesting. We know so little about the avari, and what little we do know is contradictory. I'd imagine it makes them very hard to write about.

Author Reply: The Avari are difficult to write about and the Noldor (Tatyar) who stayed behind are even more so. However, there are some traits which I think are characteristic of all of the Tatyar clan and not just specific to the Noldor. But, we'll have to wait and see.
