It's hard at times to realize that Celebrimbor was son to Curufin rather than Maglor! Alas that this argument had to come this night of all nights. Author Reply: Yes - his temperment is definately unusual considering. At least he stands up to his father when it matters most. Thanks for the review :) | |

Poor Celebrimbor - he's the only male member of the House of Feanor with any common sense; and he's going to get caught up in their craziness even if (as I suspect) he doesn't take the Oath, but goes to M-e out of Noldor and family loyalty. And talk about bad timing; revealing his love to his father on this night of all nights. Looking forward to more. Author Reply: I suspect he didn't take the oath either. In fact I believe it is pointed out in one HoME book. (don't quote me on that) Celebrimbor's story is such a tragedy, its always stuck with me. But if you've read my other story Feanorian Fates, you'll see that I believe that the Silmarils in essence drove them all crazy, except him, similar to what the One Ring did to Frodo and Smeagol. Even though they weren't 'evil'. They were so perfect and unique that everyone became obsessed to have one causing all of those deaths. Morgoth's ownership of them might have tainted them as well IMO. :) And Celebrimbor's creation of the rings damned him as well. I love Celebrimbor and wanted to try to write his story.
