Interesting, Soledad. Author Reply: Thanks. This story is the reason why I haven't read "Stirring Rings" so far - although I intend to. But working on a similar story, I didn't want to be influenced, which would be inevitable. ;)

Why does Curunir get angry when he hears that he and Aiwendil are to travel together? Is Curunir afraid he will be seen as less important or something in that manner? Olorin thinks he is weak but I am not so sure of that. I think he has strength he himself can not see.Altariel and Pallando seem to have great wisdom and strength, I am sure they are able to aid all of good. Author Reply: It's mentioned somewhere (don't ask me where, I think it's the UT, but I'm not sure) that Curunir didn't like having to travel with Aiwendil. And LOTR shows clearly that Saruman deeply despised Radagast... which didn't hinder him to use the clueless Brown Wizard to lure Gandalf into a trap.

I had not considered it, but it is possible that the Istari came to Middle Earth long before anyone noticed them, giving them some time to learn about all the good and bad forces there. And a female Istar would make sense, she would be able to go places males can not. Author Reply: I think the Powers must have learned from the disaster that was the War of Wrath - or, at least, I hope they have. I mean, half a continent crumbled into the Sea under their feet...
