| I had not considered it, but it is possible that the Istari came to Middle Earth long before anyone noticed them, giving them some time to learn about all the good and bad forces there. And a female Istar would make sense, she would be able to go places males can not. Author Reply: I think the Powers must have learned from the disaster that was the War of Wrath - or, at least, I hope they have. I mean, half a continent crumbled into the Sea under their feet... | |
