I love the last two chapters. There being good dragons is a delightful thought.
Way to go Yew! Now I will read "Count The Stars."

Author Reply: Thank you so much, Tari, for reading Yew. :-)
It's been awhile since I've been here and it took some time to remember how to get to where I could respond to your comments.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Yew and hope you will like Count The Stars as well.

Thank you again! :-)
Hugs,
Pearl

I'm so glad that Radagast is able to continue to visit the people among whom Yew dwelt. And Yew was so fortunate to come to them and to do as he did. I'm so glad he learned compassion from a small Took who went on in his own turn to be the greatest Thain known in the Shire.

Author Reply: Yes, it is a wonderful thing that dragon and hobbit both turned out so well.

Thank you so very much, Larner, for sticking with this to the end. :-)

Great ending!

I liked it how Yew the small dragon became Yinglong, the father of all Chinese dragons.

Soon Yinglong had the greatest hoard of any dragon in any realm of the world.

That's even more than he had expected :-)

It was really a funny coincidence that the first man Yew the Dragon met was named "Yu"!

Author Reply: Thank you so much, Andrea :-)

Yes, Pippin's pet became very important, and I think he deserved such a huge hoard. ;-)

I didn't start the Chinese research until after I was into the story by several chapters and could hardly believe that the person Yinglong first helped was named Yu. That was just too cool of a coincidence. :-)

i have adored yew since he first appeared in a challenge story, and i found those last two chapters leaving me wishing once again that some authors had all the time in the world to devote to my entertainment because i would love to read the tales those two could relate. thank you for making the time to tell us of yew.

Author Reply: aw, (((nancylea)))

I wish I had all the time as well. I'm also embarking on a career writing original stories that can be published and so have to balance how much time I have for my fanfiction. At this point, I have NO intention of quitting my fanfiction. I enjoy it and it's a nice break from my other stuff.

I"m so very glad you've enjoyed Yew and his adventures growing up.
