The Silver Tree  by Linda Hoyland 7 Review(s)
MairiReviewed Chapter: 1 on 8/29/2009
I always appreciate a well done Faramir story, but this was just excellent. The White Tree was hardly described, but I still felt like I could see it, and I had no trouble believing in the characters.

“I thought you would enjoy seeing our new White Tree thus,” said Aragorn. He gripped Faramir’s shoulder.

*Our* White Tree - how wonderful! I love stories of the love between Aragorn and Faramir. :) Indeed the Steward would be the one to appreciate such beauty and how neat for Aragorn to seek him out.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Ah, very nicely done, Linda. Aragorn is almost child-like here, wanting to share the joyful moment with some one, and how fitting that he should chose someone who will be a part of that future to enjoy the sight of this symbol of hope in full bloom.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed the story.I do imagine Aragorn as retaining an endearing child-like enthusiasm.

Any new story by you is a treat, but this one is quite special. I love the idea of the tree looking equally beautiful in sun and starshine.

Thank you, as always. I deeply appreciate the hard word you perform to give joy to the readers.

A very charming vignette in which you let us have a glimpse of a most hopeful moment for our ranger and king. The image of the white tree standing serenely beautiful in the moonlight is a high point for me.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I only wish my camera could capture my cherry tree which inspired this by moonlight.

A very nice story, with the beautiful moonlit Silver Tree...What a time of hope and magic this must have been for both King and Steward.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I wish I could have seen the tree and Aragorn and Faramir! I'll just have to imagine them under my cherry tree!

So beautiful to read again here! What a beautiful sight--the White Tree in its full glory for the first time in centuries!
