The Mushroom Song  by Kara's Aunty 6 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 1 on 11/27/2009
Definitely a song worthy of our Pippin! Nice!

Author Reply: Hello Larner,

Thanks! Glad you liked it. It was fun to write, too, because I got to imagine what exactly the mischievius Took might be prepared to do for his beloved fungi - although I just included the tamer elements in this song...

Thanks for R & R-ing,

M :)

Author Reply: Oops! Spelling error. I meant mischievous...

As the son of Shire’s Thain
It’s my duty to refrain
From mischief (so I’ve been taught)
That just means not getting caught

That's our Pippin! He's a cheeky one, indeed :-)

I enjoyed this song a great deal. Thank you very much!

Author Reply: Hello Andrea,

Pippin is a cheeky rascal, isn't he? That's why we love him. I've yet to meet a lady who can resist his impish humour!

I know I can't resist it :)

Thanks for R & R-ing, m'dear I'm glad you enjoyed this!

Kara's Aunty,

If mushrooms are his one true love, I suppose Diamond will be jealous! *grin*

I really enjoyed this song, thank you for posting it! Pippin is my favorite hobbit, I think. I do like all four of the Travellers, though, and Bilbo too.

I see Antane enjoyed it too! I'm glad.

Personally, I don't much care for mushrooms *gasp!* although Shirebound mentioned something about chocolate mushrooms...wonder what our silly Took would think of those!

Well written!

Kaylee Arafinwiel (who loves Elves first, Hobbits second, but does love them both!)

Author Reply: Hello Kaylee Arafinwiel,

Ooh - can you just imagine Pippin's face if had the pleasure of eating a chocolate mushroom?

Dizzy delight!

Thanks for the compliment on the song. I'm happy you liked it! I like elves too, but I can't write elvish poetry - not for the life of me. It always comes out looking too hobbity...

Thanks for R & R-ing,

Kara's Aunty (who loves Elves, Hobbits & everything in-between equally. Apart from Orcs. And Saruman. Not to mention Sauron - you get the picture!)

This is just adorably hobbity, dear!

Author Reply: Hello Dreamflower,

*blushes*

Thanks! It seemed the sort of thing Pippin would sing about ('cos I would, too - I think I must be part-hobbit. I'm certainly short enough).

Thanks for R & R-ing, m'dear,

M :)

Cousin!!!! What a wonderful surprise. I've been searching for days and days and days and here you are! That was just adorable and such a love would fit one of the former worst rascals in Buckland also. :) What a treat. And you know what, just for the fun of it, I went to accuweather.com tonight - my dad wanted to look up something for traveling for Thanksgiving - and I saw you could look up UK too and so I put in Paisley just to see. Looks like you are getting the same type we are. Hope you are well. The sooner you are back, the better I'll be pleased. :)

Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Your spring berry who would do cartwheels or a jig if she could :)

Author Reply: Hello my Tookish bloom,

so you found your wee poem? I'm so glad. And delighted that it made you smile :)

And yes: the weather in Paisley is absolutely disgraceful. I think it's raining all over the world.

Apart from the Gobi desert.

And it might be snowing in the North Pole.

Possibly.

*grins*

I'm so very happy to hear you had fun with this, especially because it was just for you.

Thanks for R & R-ing (& hope the rain eases off at your end, too),

Me :)

Adorable. A most hobbity song!

Author Reply: Hello shirebound,

Pip and his stomach, eh? Trust a Took to waste valuable oxygen singing about mushrooms. Not that I blame him - I absolutely love them too!

Glad you enjoyed 'The Mushroom Song' & thanks for R & R-ing, m'dear!

M :)
