Excellent--they found him in good time--and the betrothal is officially ON! Author Reply: Yes, it is, lol, and more of that in another story...at some point in the future. ;-) Thanks for stopping by, Larner! :-)

At least he isn't trying to go alone. Author Reply: No, though I think being just out of his tweens, Pippin might still have one or two impetuous moments up his sleeve, but not today. Today, he carefull weighs his options.

What a thing to forget! Poor Degger. And it does sound questionable that Draco's certain he wants to get married. Heh! Author Reply: I think the part of my personality that the character Degger inherited is getting flustered easily, lol. And when I get flustered, I forget things. :-P

I appear to have missed this the first time through, but intend to read it now. Thanks so! Author Reply: Well, thank you for stopping by! :-)

Pippinfan! How wonderful to see you back!! *Hugs* I enjoyed your story and I hope you'll have more for us soon. Author Reply: Cathleen! It's wonderful to see you, too! Thank you for stopping by to read -- and I am working on something right now, but it won't be ready for a long while. Later this year, perhaps.

Hooray! And brothers do tend to be protective of their sister! Heh! Bless all of them! Author Reply: Yes, bless them! :-) I couldn't agree more -- in my world of hobbits, although siblings do squabble amongst themselves, it is a lad's duty to protect his sister's or mother's honor. It was good to see you, Larner! Thanks for reading!

Pippin now appreciates what responsibility entails. Hope they find him without too much damage! Author Reply: As for me, I imagine Pippin learned what responsibility meant while in Service to his King during the Quest. But I thank you for your comment -- my Muse is getting off her lazy duff now, lol.

Ah--the vagaries of the lovelorn! Now I'll have to read the other story on LJ. Author Reply: True, but we've all been there at one time or another. ;-)

"The Lochinvar Factor" is a benchmark of my own for girls who aren't sure if the bloke they fancy is really "The One"! IMHO, most romantic poem ever written. Sir Walter Scott - read it! http://www.rampantscotland.com/poetry/blpoems_lochinvar.htm Author Reply: Wow. I hope others click onto this link -- what a beautiful poem! I wholly agree with you; *very* romantic! I understood your previous post to be a compliment, but now I see it much more so. Thanks for sharing the Lochinvar Factor. :-)

Ah now, as usual Merry has got it right! Never propose in public, otherwise you're not really giving your intended a choice! You might well get a "pity yes", which isn't really the point! Still, happy ending - happy story - v.good! Author Reply: Well, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. This was a nice treat to wake up to this morning. Hope to see you down on the Farms soon!
