Another Moment of your Time  by Larner 2 Review(s)
TiggerReviewed Chapter: 77 on 3/20/2015
Oh how lovely that Frodo not only appreciated the choice made, but also just what went into the making of the desk and chair. Then again, as the son of a Master Carver and Furniture Maker, he would be able to recognize such quality..

I love this peek into just how the scene Aragorn watched in a prevous ficlit came into being. He and Faramir were always to me, and to borrow from another beloved book series of mine, Kindred Spirits and I'm sure spent many happy moments together sharing not just knowledge, but also tales of growing up and scrapes they got into. I am more than sure by the time came for the Hobbits to head home, the Prince of Ithilien knew all about the Rascal of Buckland. :oD

Sigh...I do love a good Frodo and Faramir story and this is both lovely and charming too. Just what I needed for a chilly and snowy Evening. Un huh, you read that right. First Day of Spring and we're getting snow and just our front yard was about 75% clear of it too...Bleck!!

Author Reply: While we here in the Pacific Northwest are watching the daffodils preparing to bloom and are sweeping fruit blossoms off our porches and decks!

Faramir as the guardian of the memories of Frodo Baggins, the Rascal of Buckland! Heh! Now you've done it! Heh!

I love the idea of Frodo and Faramir working together, two kindred spirits. I wish there had more of their time together in the Red Book. I wonder why Frodo didn't record anymore.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I suspect that more wasn't recorded for the same reason Merry's proposed discourse with Théoden about the smoking and cultivation of pipeweed got pulled--doesn't push the story forward. Heh! But you are correct--two kindred spirits indeed! Thanks so!
