So much pain for Aragorn because of war but glad he could still laugh - that was heartening for us both. :)
Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author Reply: Oh, yes, he could still laugh, for which all can be glad! Thanks so, Antane.

Who wouldn't love to have Legolas sing to them. I know I would. Well done, Larner.
Author Reply: I am with you there, Tari! To hear him sing would be such a pleasure! Thanks so!

That was an unexpected outburst of Aragorn!
I can understand him very well, though. I wouldn't call it a sweet victory either.
But Gandalf is right as well. For Pippin the saying is true, but sadly not for Frodo.
At that moment they heard, in the distance, Legolas raise his voice in song, one of the songs in praise of Ulmo and the peace those who crossed his realm might know.
A perfect ending to this story. Legolas' song is like a consolation for all (including the reader).
Author Reply: Thank you so, Andrea. I don't doubt that at times Aragorn could indeed have such bursts of temper, particularly when he was tired and worried for the future of those he cared for so deeply.
And I suspect that Legolas perhaps suspected the shape Frodo's healing might take in the end, or at least would sing to console himself with what he now realized it would take to bring him the healing he now needed.
Thank you so very much!

Gimli, the mother hen! I can see that very clearly.
Author Reply: Indeed. After all, we know he was the one who shooed Pippin back to bed the night Frodo and Sam awoke!
Thanks so, Soledad!
