That was beautifully written, Larner.
Been a while since I reviewed anything here. Real Life has been crazy.
Author Reply: Oh, thank you so! Having been through my own bouts of REAL LIFE gone berserk, I can appreciate you having similar circumstances. Good luck and God bless and keep you through it.

That was exactly the right thing to do.
His compassion is what distinguishes Frodo from many others. But if I imagine how Lobelia must have looked like at that moment I think that even Bilbo would have forgotten all his animosities against the S.-B.s and would have reacted like Frodo.
Author Reply: Frodo responded to his experiences by becoming filled with compassion and caring for others, quite the opposite of Saruman. As for Bilbo reacting similarly, I suspect you are right. He was good hearted, after all.

Oh, wonderfully done. The details, Griffo's thoughts, Frodo's gentleness, Lobelia's simple question. You brought me to tears.
Author Reply: I'm so glad you liked it, Lindelea! And to know it moved you so is the greatest satisfaction.
I'm still awaiting both the further adventures of Bill, as well as more of Thorn and Thain as well as a certain Bolger/Took family.
Will be your way the end of August, first of September for Meesh's 67th birthday. How we do get on with age! Heh!

Child? I love it.
Author Reply: How much older than she he must have felt at that moment, seeking to reassure her that there was still a day to step out of the darkness to enjoy.

Beautiful. How right Saruman was about how much Frodo had grown. And Lobelia. Journeys through darkness changed them both.
Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author Reply: Oh, and how true that is, Antane. He has grown so much even his mercy could feel harsh to such as the fallen Maia. But he was able to encourage Lobelia to return to the light and the Light both.
