Ha ha ha! Arwen is one sneaky Queen! Putting the hideous vase out within reach of little Eldarion.

Love the story. Arwen found a good use for the vase and did not lie in the letter. Sometimes thank you's are so hard to write.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed the story.I recall thank you letters as the "dark side" of Christmas and birthdays when I was young!

Aragorn is right. Arwen excels at diplomatic skills, and trust her to find a way to appreciate the gift. Eldarion's entrance was very vivid, and enjoyable. A delightful prequel to The Vase That Was Broken

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed this prequel. Arwen is a natural diplomat, I think.

Very entertaining - the duties of a queen range from the sublime to the necessary but tedious chores, such as writing to thank foreign dignitaries for giving unattractive but well-meant presents. A great lead-in to The Vase that was Broken!
