What a cool story! Very beautiful and the imagery and the inspiration for it are lovely. Nicely done!

Hi Rhyselle, thought I'd repost my MEFA review here:

An excellent drabble about an artisan who breaks a glass pane into pieces in order to construct windchimes for those newly returned from Mandos. The glass is well described and the moment of breaking it a surprise. The addition of the lines from the poem added another dimension to the piece. I really liked the whole concept and would love to see more of this character.

Ah, but I so like the images contained within, Rhyselle! Perfect reaction for someone helping others to build new lives--painting the details of the old life that was shattered, and showing that even shattered there os beauty and music to be found in those old pieces!

I haven't read the Palmer poem before this, but I've seen the same theme used about broken people and mosaics. A great metaphor for the Reborn -- and fish for the fisherman.

This is such a lovely drabble and the images it evokes are just beautiful. The poem is absolutely apropos and one that I think I will memorize for myself to remind myself that God is making a lovely windchime out of my life as well. Thank you for this, Rhyselle.
