Poor Ox didn't get an invitation! I'm glad Niriel isn't going to be too hard on her husband. I'm eager to see how dinner goes!

That innkeeper family has used a certain Elven family for names quite liberally *grin* I can see why just shortening the name wouldn't be of much use with them.

Typical Hobbits, taking all the blame and being worried that Calembel gets into trouble with his wife. They are really good-hearted.

What Niriel should wear? Easy – something comfortable and *wide* that doesn't cut into her waistline halfway through the meal already ;)

Poor Ox, having to listen to them talking about all the delicacies they are going to make! No wonder he's hungry!

Author Reply: Yep. *grin* I thought that it would be funny, especially when you consider the names of the Old Tooks children.

The hobbits were worried-- after all, this is the first new friend they've made in Minas Tirith!

Ah, yes, to have the children waken daddy with eggs and sausages will do nicely, I think! Heh!

And no wonder Ox is hungry now! Heh!

Author Reply: Yep. His morning is not going to be fun.

No wonder. *grin*

Oh dear - I now have such a hankering to go and make cheese scones... but it is well past midnight! Perhaps tomorrow.

Author Reply: *grin* That's a perfect response to this chapter!

Ah, Ox is such a great character. I love him. And I wonder what will Niriel and Calembel will think of a dinner cooked by the Hobbits. I have this image of them just gaping in shock at the amount of food on the table, haha.

Thank you for a new chapter!

Author Reply: Glad you like Ox! He just showed up out of nowhere and offered to help the hobbits, so of course I had to let him.

I have a feeling that Calembel's family will be very surprised!

Well, at least the missus wasn't too angry. I do feel sorry for Calembel. He will not be a happy camper in the morning. *grin* Thanks for posting another chapter, Dreamflower. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Author Reply: No, he's going to have a massive hangover in the morning, which as his missus realizes, will handily do her job for her.

*grin* Tune in next week!

And poor Ox isn't invited to the dinner!

Well, that was infinitely more fun than the usual escorting-the-drunken-man-home tale. But then, hobbits were involved.

Author Reply: I am sure that sooner or later he may get to sample hobbit-hospitality.

Hobbits make everything more fun!

"I would imagine it made things difficult calling them all to supper," Ox said.

The hobbits laughed now, and Jolly said, "It's never difficult to call a hobbit to supper!"

Awwww, love that. The hobbits are making wonderful friends, and they're such good ambassadors of the Shirefolk.

Author Reply: They really are!

I'm glad you liked that bit. *grin*
