Tongues of Men and Angels  by Linda Hoyland 5 Review(s)

I am so glad that the two involved were found to be of the same clan and thus divorced from the Ambassador and his own intent. And to see him so glad for the birth of his daughter--a joy in its own right!

Now, may joy be there for both of them!

It still reads as good as it did the first time I read it.

I enjoyed this story very much. Faramir's gift both for languages *and* reading men's hearts will be one his king will always treasure.

Great thriller-drama! I enjoyed reading this at Teitho, and now again. I like your description of Harad people. The coming of the ambassador gives some hope that there will be peace in the future, though it won't be easy to achieve that. Well done!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm delighted that you enjoyed my story.Faramir and the Ambassador become good friends in the future and there will soon be a Harad quater in Minas Tirith as I descibe in "Dies Irae",so things look promising for the future.

Excellent conclusion to the story - lots of nifty turnabouts, i.e. Tahir's innocence, Faramir's skill with languages leading to the saving of Aragorn, etc. Peace can begin again, when former enemies united to learn each other's customs and languages...
