Cicadas are not a part of our experience here on the west coast, but their song is entrenched in my memory from time spent in their native range. I'll ever treasure the memory of one of the creatures found clinging to my sweater after an evening spent at the amusement park in Tulsa and a lovely ride on the Tilt-a-Whirl when I was four or five. Delightful to think that Boromir appreciated their song, too!

Short and sweet indeed! :) I love this image of Boromir stretching out under the tree. The music of the cicades hit home for me; of course during their Grand Chorus of five years ago there were time I wish I could turn the volume down... :P
