Yes, perhaps Indis has lost the most, and her beloved will never return to her. :( But there is as least some comfort in the return of her son, and I am glad for her that she got at least that. Beautifully written. Author Reply: Thank you so you so very much! Thanks for reading and for taking the time to review!

I have to agree with Soledad that Indis is the most tragic of these three ellith. I am sure she would have wanted both her sons and their children back, but was probably grateful that at least one of them returned. It is interesting that we hear that Indis eventually retires to Lórien and Fëanor's wife, Nerdanel, goes back to her father's house, and, of course, Eärwen has her husband back, but we never learn what Anairë's fate is. I think that is something that could be explored more fully. Excellent portrayal of these three women, Ellie. You show us their strengths and their vulnerabilities with great sensitivity and compassion. Author Reply: I may have to see if the muse will tell me what happened to Anaire. Thanks for the compliment! Thanks as ever for your assistance and for reading and reviewing!

What bitterness! Poor Indis, to realize how shallow in many ways her husband had become. An excellent depiction of these three as they realize that they have been made bereft for no true reason, and to know such pain! Author Reply: They were all strong women to have endured what they did. I wonder if that was a requirement for marrying into the House of Finwe? Thanks for reading and reviewing!

The time it took to see her beloved return was so very long!

At least Earwen was able to have her heart pieced back together again, although not the others. And her questions are so valid!

Loved all three POVs. I think, though, that Indis is the most tragic figure of the three wives - Eärwen gets his husband back, and at least Anaire can still hope. But what has Indis left? Author Reply: I agree with you. Poor Indis. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

When reviewing the first chapter, I wrote "poor Earwen". But now, I have to say "poor, poor, poor Anaire". :( Because of the last paragraph. She has such a big hope, and yet, it will remain unfulfilled... and the pain will be even greater. :( Beautifully written. Author Reply: Yes, Anaire will suffer even more than Earwen. She is going to have a rough time when she learns that Nolofinwe isn't returning to her. Thank you very much for reading and reviewing!!

Poor Earwen - it must be so heart-breaking to lose everyone you love. Well done. Author Reply: Thank you very much! It was hard for her as it was difficult for all who were abandoned or parted from when the Noldor left. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
