LOL!!! Great one. That reminds me of an English lesson a long time age when someone asked: "Can I read?", and our teacher replied: "I hope you can!" ;-)

Poor Pippin--he's truly being put upon this day! Yes, he's learning a good bit of a lesson in grammar at the moment! Heh!

I'm happy for both you AND Cookiefleck here! Heh! Yes, I've read a LOT of Sam-and-Frodo reunions by now, and of course have written my own. I'm glad that Cirdan brings him around this time. Heh!

LOL!! Well now we know why he was always with Gandalf! This gave me a well needed chuckle, though I must admit, Merry's line gave me trouble for a minute. Quite cute!

"You asked 'Can I have an apple?' - not 'May I have an apple'" My mother *still* speaks up whenever she hears one of those used incorrectly! This is delightful. What a lovely distraction for the Fellowship.

I laughed when I saw this. Glad my little joke amused you! Ironically, I think I am one of the few who really reveres Sam but does not mind him dying in a story if there's a good h/c build up. As long as he's heroic, self-sacrificing and noble, and everyone from Arda to Valinor and beyond laments and appreciates his death - heck, kill him off! All in the service of good drama, of course. ;o) Author Reply: Hello cookiefleck, oh, I'm so thrilled you laughed! I absolutely had to post your suggestion because it made me snort with laughter! Actually, I hate Sam dying in any fics, good or otherwise, so it was rather bold of me (to say the least) to kill him off myself - and so ingloriously too! Shame on me! But your improvement to the fic has offered a nice (and v. funny) alternative to the end of Sam's journey to the Grey Havens. *beams* Thanks for R & R-ing (our fic), M ;)

Now that's much better! He's not dead, Jim. :) (little spin on Star Trek humor there) Namarie, God bless, Your much happier bloom who can blossom once more :) Author Reply: Hello dear, thought this might improve your opinion of (naughty) me ... *snigger* Forgive the delayed response, but for some reason I've not been getting e-mail notifications of SoA reviews for almost a week. Then, suddenly, a whole slew of them turned up at once! Thanks for R & R-ing, Tooky Bloom, Cousin Mo x

Now Merry should have known better than thinking his cousin could not make Aragorn smile and laugh! He had me smiling too. What a delight. I suppose I can forgive you even more now. No need to fret over being a formerly favorite cousin since I already have a favorite one from long before but you are second favorite! :) Namarie, God bless, Your bloom who is feeling better now :) Author Reply: Hello Slugger, second-favourite works for me! *beams* Glad Pippin's cheeky turn of phrase cheered you up (he really does remind me of you). Thanks for R & R-ing, Widow Gamgee ;)

Oh dear, you really killed Sam!!! But since this is an AU story, we might also change some other details: Let us assume that Frodo is no longer among the living, too. And that would mean that he *is* waiting for Sam, only the location is different :-) Author Reply: Hello Andrea, what a very good compromise. *makes mental note to consider it for future drabble, if allowed* Hope Sam's death didn't upset you too much (Antane almost had a cow, hahaha). Thanks for R & R-ing, m'dear, M ;)
