"Keep well away from those men, child," the woman fretted, clutching her young son's hand more tightly. "They look like vagabonds, utterly disreputable!" Hahaha, that made me snigger!

Oh, Linda, this is a lovely story and I can easily picture these two getting away together for a day out for just the lads! The reaction from Arwen and Eowyn shows how much they understand their husbands and don't feel threatened by the fact that men need time away as well as the ladies. Lol, this reminds me of the relationship I am so blessed to share with my own hubbie! Thank you for a delightful read, as always!!

Another most delightful chapter. You know how much I love to see the happy moments in Elessar's life. No one deserves it like him, after spending so many selfless years toiling in the shadows protecting others. His giving some of his catch to someone who needed it so much illustrates well his innate kindness. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the story. I agree no one deserves happiness more than Aragorn.

Love the image of King and Steward relaxing by the river happily getting dirty. Very kind, and typical, of Aragorn to give some of his fish to someone who badly needed it. note to the anonymous reviewer - if you're going to give catty reviews, at don't hide behind anonymity. I suspect that someone was having a bad day and decided to try to spread the misery around. The story is enjoyable and briskly written; as usual from Linda. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed the image of Aragorn and Faramir on the river bank. This story was great fun to write.

Ah--good! They had a good day, have done a good deed, and were still able to share part the fruits of their day with their wives. As for the anonymous one--was married for 27+ years, and I found that when my husband, who worked hard, took a well needed and deserved mental health day off to have a day with his friends, it usually worked to the benefit of us all! And he found the same true when I took a day to myself, which I didn't do often. As long as you don't abuse it, such practices can and will strengthen marriages. Nor is Linda a teen with no experience at life, as you appear to assume. In other words, don't project your own miseries or imagined miseries onto others. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I enjoy sometimes giving Aragorn and Faramir a well deserved break which makes both them and their wives happy.

I can just imagine Éowyn and Arwen thinking 'Ah well, boys will be boys...' And how like Aragorn to give the best part of the catch away. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I can imagine the ladies thinking that too. I can imagine Aragorn loving to be able to help people.

More proof that Aragorn is a great king in those gifts to the poor woman. And cute that he and Faramir were so mistaken for vagabounds earlier. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed the mistaken identity. May God bless you too.

Your parents must be really proud. But honestly, once you're a little older and you've actually been married or had a long-time boyfriend or lover, you'll look back at this and realize just how unrealistic the ladies' reactions were.

A great little story; perfect for a long, hot summer. I can just see the two guys, worn out by the relentless domesticity after being used to living life on the edge out in the wilds. And guys, modern or Middle-earthy, do need to occasionally hang out with each other a bit and do guy things... Great ending, too! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you are enjoying this summer story. I'm sure Aragorn and Faramir need to escape at times. They are lucky to have wise wives who understand the need for doing "Guy things" sometimes.
