From Wilderness to Cities White  by Larner 7 Review(s)

Yes, all his wishes came true. Even the ones he would have thought of as silly ;-)

And because of Frodo Sam's life went completely different then he might have thought.

But I'm quite sure that in the end both of them would have said that it was a good life!

P.S.: I don't know when exactly your birthday was, but anyway: Happy (very) belated birthday!

Author Reply: Now I'm the one who's behind! Yes, Frodo left Sam in a position to be far more than just the gardener at Bag End, and the life of all in the Shire was undoubtedly better because of that trust.

My birthday was the thirteenth, but because of the schedule for the challenge my story didn't go up on the net until the eighteenth. It was a nice one!

Isn't it nice to know that all his dreams came true, or leastways we hope they did! I believe they did. Loved the part about Sam taking care of his treasure the most - big surprise there, huh? :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I believe that Sam and Frodo each lived a special and blessed life, and that the world was far better because the two of them went through it together! Thank you so, Antane!

What a delightful read. Thank you. (I have to admit I was reading some of it to the tune of Mary Had A Little Lamb. Silly, isn't it?)

Author Reply: I'd not intended to make this compatible with Mary Had a Little Lamb, although I admit that this was intended for the poem I once made regarding Bilbo's life, but it does work, doesn't it? And thank you! Sam deserved so much!

Awwww. Y'know, I can hear Sam singing the first few stanzas while bouncing a baby on his knee... Of course the last few stanzas might have come later...

Author Reply: I found myself thinking much the same, Lindelea. So many silly or simple wishes, and in the end he accomplished so much, at the side of his Master and then due to Frodo's careful planning and hope. Thanks so much, and thanks again for writing another chapter of Thorn and Thain for me! I was so thrilled!

This is just lovely!

Author Reply: Oh, I'm so glad you think so, Linda! Thank you so!

Beautiful, Larner! My b-day gift to you is almost finished, albeit horrendously belated. I so love Sam here! You captured him perfectly. :)

*huggles Larner* Thank you for the mathom!

Kaylee

Author Reply: Oh, but I have a few late stories as well. Between work and my computer woes, hopefully behind me now, I've not finished a fair amount of stories, I fear.

And thanks so for the hugs! Glad you like the poem!

What a beautiful way to tell Sam's story.

Author Reply: Thank you so, Shirebound. Certainly the third Ringbearer from the Shire needs his own poem! Heh!
