So, I want to thank you once again! There’re some reviews posted by readers of the translation: “Awesome text; it’s very powerful, expressive, beautiful and sincere”. And a real big hand from the one who just loves Finarfin! May I, if it is not too much, ask your permission to translate some of your other stories? As all of them are so good that I would not want to miss a chance. Besides, your Finarfin is just amazing, you make wonderful portraits of him. I believe Finarfin really DOES deserve respect! And we just need more of him! :))) Author Reply: Thank you so very much for letting me know what the reviewers said about the translation of the story. I am most grateful to you :-) Please feel free to translate the other stories, too. I am honored. I am terribly fond of Finarfin and enjoy telling tales about him.

It’s great! Really touching and exciting. Such true characters! And especially my beloved Finarfin and Eönwë! :))) May I ask your permission to translate this story into Russian (if no one's already done)? I just never have enough of Eönwë (and also of Ingwion – it’s very difficult to find something about them, especially in Russian). Author Reply: Thank you so very much! I agree that there are too few stories out there about Eönwë or Ingwion or Finarfin. I wish there were more, too. Please do translate this story into Russian, if you like. No one has ever asked such a thing of me before. I am truly honored :-) Thank you so very much for reading and reviewing! I appreciate it very much!

This is such a powerful piece, Ellie. The perspectives of the five people are so true to their characters. While Maedhros and Maglor are about what we expect from reading the Silmarillion, it was reading the perspectives of the other three that was truly heartrending and the most poignant, for the actions of Maedhros and Maglor at this moment have turned their victory over Morgoth Pyrrhic in scope. Well done! Author Reply: Thank you very much! It certainly was a challenge writing this. I"m surprised and glad I managed to pull it off. Thanks for your help and for reading and reviewing!

What a great, poignant story! Whenever I think of Feanor and his sons, I am so angry at them - they've done so much evil. Fools! As always, you describe your characters perfectly. :) I love their thoughts and emotions the way you write them. Thank you for this wonderful story. Author Reply: I'm pleased you enjoyed this! It was a challenge writing the sons of Feanor and Eonwe, especially. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

A dramatic, and successful, approach to this sorry incident - I particularly enjoyed the repetition of the line It was not supposed to end this way by all of the characters, a paean to lost, misshapen hopes and plans. The characterization really works well; and I felt sorry for the last two sons of Feanor as well as disgusted by their deeds. I agree with Maglor - Feanor should have realized that his sons, rather than the Silmarils, were his true jewels. The story really drives home the corruption and destruction of the Feanorians... Author Reply: Thank you so very much! I'm pleased you enjoyed the story :-) It was a challenge entering the minds of these 5 and looking at what led them to this desperate point. Thanks so very much for reading and reviewing!
