The Making of a Ringbearer II: Anchored  by Henna Gamgee 7 Review(s)

Related to Bell? Wonderful, then. And sorry the Brandybucks didn't approve of Drogo and don't appear, most of them at least, to have taken to his son, either. Very bad.

Poor Frodo! That he had remembered the way the evening started that led to his parents death! I hope that he is able to remember more and then maybe he will find the truth to the whole thing!

That someone could be so cruel to a child and tell them that they are a burden to those around them! I guess Frodo will have to live with someone of these unpleasant people and what they say for the rest of his life but to be introduced to it so young!

I hope Poppy is able to apologize and maybe get Frodo to open up to her! I hope he opens up to someone! Thank you for the next chapter and I am looking forward to more!

Author Reply: Don't worry, he will definitely remember more and find out the truth. That won't be for awhile though. :)

Oh, poor, poor Frodo. This visit to Brandy Hall is just getting more and more difficult for him. I hope he confides in someone soon, because I think the pain and anger he is feeling right now are really too much for one adolescent hobbit to handle on his own.

I really just love this story. I was telling a friend just the other day that Frodomir and Samomir are two of my favorite fic entities! As always, I'm looking forward to more.

Author Reply: Aww, thanks! I'm rather fond of Frodomir and Samomir myself. :)

Well, I read it again and I have to review AGAIN. That is so mean of you have our darling Primula and Drogo fighting! Oh! My heart breaks!

But I printed out the darling photo that you used to have of Frodo/EW on your website, and it is still taped on my desk. I just love your Frodo. I'll go with him through whatever comes his way . . . parents, ruffians, nasty cousins . . . carry on, jellyfish.

Author Reply: That fight gave me days of writer's block, you know! :P

I have never really read anything that explores what exactly happened on the day Frodo's parents drowned, and never considered that he might have been there. I'm interested to read about your thoughts on this, and also about how Frodo's guilt at surviving might have affected him. Update soon!

Author Reply: Thanks for reviewing! I have thought about what happened that day Frodo's parents drowned a lot lately, for some reason. I've decided where I'm going to take it, but the whole story won't come out till near the end of the fic.

Oh!

Oh!

Oh! This is FANTASTIC! What a story! You are really, really outdoing yourself with this. Better than I ever, ever anticipated. "Anchored" gets better all the time!

Frodo is maturing, yet still young and feeling those feelings of making his way in the world . . . and dear Poppy's going to become practically his RELATIVE . . . oh, this is so good. Obelia, you are absolutely gifted in storytelling. Please, please update soon . . . I know school is starting but don't forget us poor readers out here starving for more of your special Frodo-Bilbo vision . . . no one but you can satisfy! Feed us, feed us . . .

I believe that these fics are very important to us . . . never doubt that the Lord is really using you. This is a tremendous story on lots of different levels. Trust me, we are connecting deeply with this. Keep on going. And don't forget about situations requiring bed rest and anxious attention for our dear Frodo and lots of tender moments! We need that too! In your own words, Muaahahaha . . . .

Author Reply: Ah, Karen, I hope you know how much your lovely comments motivate me! :) *runs off to work on next chapter*

I hope that Frodo *is* going to finally remember, and realize that all the rumors are false. And I'm sure he's going to help Poppy in some way.

Author Reply: Oh my goodness, I followed your progress with amazement a few weeks back! I have never before seen anyone plough through this fic in such a short time and still manage to review every chapter! Waking up to 30+ review alerts is quite an experience, I can tell you. ;) Anyway, welcome to the story, and thank you so much for taking the time to review. Frodo will indeed finally remember what happened that day, but I'm afraid that won't happen till close to the end of the story.
