The Making of a Ringbearer II: Anchored  by Henna Gamgee 9 Review(s)

Interesting they would send all the way to the Shire for Bilbo, as Moria lies between the Lonely Mountain and the Shire, although a good way to the south of Rivendell.

But I love that they hope Bilbo will talk sense into Dwalin.

Oh! Obelia Medusa!! Is that the end of the first book? It was so awesome!! You simply have to write more! You do have such a way with writing and making the reader feel with the characters - a mark of excelent literature!! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Author Reply: The end?! No way! There's quite a lot left. :) Thank you so much for your comments!

This is marvelous! I love that you bring in Moria here, and have the Dwarves involve Bilbo. Do you know, in one of my stories, I had Balin try to recruit Bilbo to go with him when he went, but it seems Bilbo had just taken on this responsibility...

So, Frodo is Home Alone.

And he's a tweenager.

*grin*

Author Reply: I think Dwarves are sadly underused in hobbit fics! :P Yes, I think I can imagine what responsibility Bilbo had taken on... ;)

I am so happy to finally see another chapter of this tale!!! This is one of the best fics around, IMO.

“I know it isn’t a lark, Bilbo,” Frodo said, brows drawing together. “I didn’t want to come for the fun of it, you know.”

Bilbo sighed, and almost missed Frodo’s next words.

“I wanted to be there to make certain you come back,” the tween finished quietly, looking away.

You write some of the most heartfelt Frodo/Bilbo scenes around; you capture their relationship perfectly.

I wonder what sort of trouble Frodo is going to get himself into while Bilbo's away and I wonder if Lotho will somehow be involved.

I hope that you will continue this very soon.

Author Reply: Thank you so much! The Bilbo-Frodo relationship is very important to me, so it's wonderful to hear that. And you can bet Lotho will definitely be involved. ;)

I can't believe Bilbo is leaving Frodo alone! But I do like Frodo's plans for the day, and of course, Sam will be there to take care of him. :) Very interested to see what will happen next.

Author Reply: Don't worry, Frodo isn't going to have any shortage of people looking out for him. :)

I really like how honest Bilbo and Frodo are with one another. No secrets, no beating around the bushes.

Author Reply: Hmm, well, I can't imagine not telling my parents if something was upsetting me that much. I like to think of Frodo feeling the same way!
