The Making of a Ringbearer II: Anchored  by Henna Gamgee 4 Review(s)

What a lovely montage of scenes showing Bilbo’s and Frodo’s growing closeness and sentiments for each other. I’m glad beyond words that Frodo has finally seen his way to the truth: that they both need each other in their lives and that Bilbo, far from being free to do as he pleases with him gone, has been living in regret since their parting.

Epilogue? So I take it the story is nearly over? It’s been a long ride as you say, but I was glad to be along for the journey.

A very nice review chapter.

What a marvelous summary, Obelia -- for us, and for Frodo.

Large blue eyes watched him anxiously. “Uncle...” the boy said when Bilbo didn’t move. He shifted his feet in the puddle on the front step. “I didn’t mean it. I didn’t mean it! Please let me come home—”

Frodo was cut off by Bilbo seizing him in a fierce hug.

“My dear boy,” he said huskily. “My son!”

Awwww. You know how glad I am that everything has worked out!

Oh, I'm so glad Frodo came to his senses! Poor Bilbo, and poor Frodo--but now everything's all right again!

Well, I know you said only an Epilogue left, but I for one am sorry to see this come to an end--there are any number of stories about Frodo coming to live with Bilbo, and his time during those 13 years before Bilbo left--but yours has a unique spin, emphasizing that special bond between them! Wonderful job!

And I am so glad you kept at it, in spite of all your many RL responsibilities and commitments. I hope perhaps you will start another story sometime soon!
