The Making of a Ringbearer II: Anchored  by Henna Gamgee 4 Review(s)

The visit ends, and we start a new year. Glad the lasses exceeded expectations as much as they did. Am looking forward to seeing how Merry passes on the lessons taught by Frodo.

Well, I'm glad Frodo got to see that lasses are not always about giggles, but the goodbyes are always sad, even though we know these cousins will continue to see a lot of each other. I truly enjoyed the Yule part of all this. Very hobbity and cheerful.

**“But at least they have the decency to run away when they want to do their giggling,” Frodo muttered, half to himself.**

LOL, poor Frodo! Daisy has really traumatized him. ;D

**“Fwo,” Pippin said again, and reached one chubby hand forward as Paladin started to take him away. Frodo closed his eyes briefly and was startled to feel a tiny hand close tightly around his nose. “Pretty!” said the baby, casting back through his limited vocabulary and trotting out an old favourite.**

Ah, so "Pretty" wasn't gone for good, after all! I *thought* that was the case (once I was reminded of it, that is). My Acting-Captain is ordering me to eat again (sigh!) and this was the perfect place to pause. My giggling-quota of the day has nearly been reached, and just in the hour or two I've spent reading "Anchored!" ;D

Your humble obedient and giggling servant,
Lutnant Tathar

Author Reply: Well, thanks for re-reading and re-reviewing (and re-giggling)! I hope you're obeying your Acting Captain properly. I'd hate to see you courtmartialled...

Yes, ff.n has loathed me almost since I registered as an author three years ago. I'm still trying to figure out why I've used that site all these years... perhaps I've somehow grown attached? Bad part is, virtually all stories are crap compared to three years ago *sighs nostalgically*

Author Reply: Well, I have a certain fondness for ff.net myself! Maybe because that was my first exposure to fan fiction.
