| A really sweet story and I enjoyed your characterisations very much, especially the subtle yet obvious affection and esteem between the different dwarves. But there is a seeming error that really niggles me though. These dwarves aren't at the Lonely Mountain as you seem to imply. That is where Thorin and Gloin and the others went to challenge Smaug and there are no other dwarves living there already. The dwarves of your story have to be somewhere else, most likely in the Iron Hills, if they are being called to the Battle of Five Armies at the end of your tale, which is what I assume. But that creates another problem as Gimli would have lived with his father in the Blue Hills, which is where Thorin's dwarves had come from, not too far from the Shire.
