| Ooh, I love the chilling (in more ways than one?) end to this. It'd be especially hard, I think, for Estel to understand the way that the years and memories can weigh on an elf, making what should be harmless fun into a dreaded reminder of death. |

| I actually haven't read Fiondil's Elf Academy, but I love the idea of Elves--wherever they are--continuing ancient traditions into the modern day. The appropriation of the cries at the Nirnaeth adds so much more significance, too--both to this and to the original. |
