Beautiful short story. I can almost imagine a cute rosy cheeked plumpy elfling with her wide starry eyes describing the periannath to her amme... adorably cute!

Author Reply: Thank you so, Aranadhel, and forgive me for being so late in responding--I cannot say how this managed to slip by me as it did!

Solemnly Livwen nodded. “But, what does mortal mean?”

How sad she will be when first Bilbo and then Frodo have to go at last!

But on the other hand she will always have happy memories she can remember them by. And without a relationship between those three their lives would have been much duller, I think.

Author Reply: At least the partings she will know from Bilbo and Frodo, and Sam and in time Gimli as well, will be blessed, and not marked by the too common grief and shock and pain known by those who die in the mortal lands. And you are surely right--all three lives are fuller for their friendships!

I would imagine some of those in the Undying Lands would have been a bit shocked to see two hobbits get off the ship.

Author Reply: Oh, but I so agree, Tari! Thank you!

Sweet little story! I love the description of Frodo's fea. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I am certain it felt rather tattered and torn at the time. At least it had the chance to heal completely. Thanks so!

Oh, my.

Heart-wrenching. And yet so sweet.
