Beruthiel's Kittens  by Branwyn 11 Review(s)

What a perfect tale! Yes--cats and dogs can help heal and restore peace to troubled spirits. How wonderful!

Author Reply: I am so glad that you like this. I wasn't sure that anyone would be interested in reading about a feline OC! Thank you for commenting. :)

Oh, this was just lovely! I can just picture the kittens snuggling up against Merry's and Eowyn's feet. So adorable!

Feline Beruthiel is redeeming the name very well!

I definitely think that they all helped a lot to hold the three of them in Arda until Aragorn could come to them. Well done!

I figured that half the black cats in Minas Tirith would have that name. :)
Thanks for the lovely review!

What a lovely thought - it, honestly, had me blinking away a tear.

This is adorable. Thank you!

I really like Beru's 'voice'.

Author Reply: Thanks for the kind review. My cats helped to write it as only cats can--walking across the keyboard, throwing the mouse on the floor, sitting on my arms. :)

This is truly heartwarming, Branwyn! Beru and her kittens provide therapy that no human healer could....

Lovely!

Awww this is so sweet...and so unusual! Most delightful. I can just hear the kittens purring and mewing and making bread on the patients......

Hee! I loved that comment. Thanks for reviewing!

Awwwwwwww! Very nice. And great characterization not only of Ioreth, but the cat and her kittens. Hopefully Faramir, Eowyn and Merry and other patients would appreciate the feline therapy later.

Author Reply: I think that the patients, even though unconscious, might sense the cats' presence. Similar to how I "know" not to roll over on my cats when I am sleeping. Clearly, on some level, I know they are there even thought I am not fully aware.
Thanks for the kind review. :)

OMG, this is adorable! I loved Beruthial's description of Faramir My Lord. The imagery of Eowyn, Merry, and Faramir being comforted by kittens is heartwarming.

Author Reply: There had to have been cats in the Houses of Healing. Tolkien just didn't tell us about them. :)
