Dear Linda: I don't recall reading "Restoration" or "Unshed Tears" before now, but both are up to your usual quality of fiction. "Unshed Tears" demonstated that even a hero does not always triumph. As for "Restoration," IMHO that might very well be the best drabble of this collection. A Phoenix is a particularly apt metaphor for Faramir. Not only is it a legendary bird that arises from the flames, as you have indicated, but as I recall, it rises even more beautiful than before. Besides, as you had Prince Imrahil observe, it is very good to see Faramir happy--and receiving a certain degree of recognition for his efforts, at last! Thank you for writing and posting these. Sincerely, Darkover Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed these drabbles. I see Faramir as very phoenix like.

Very nice, gotta love a happy Faramir and an appreciative king. Ached at the plea of Arwen to her father in the last one. He could have stayed but that would meant delaying reunion with Celebrian who he had been sundered from so long ago already, if only physically. This was indeed a costly choice for them both. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed these drabbles. I'm pleased you found the drabble about Elrond moving. May God bless you too.

I can so easily see this, Linda. Yes, to delay now is not to go at all, and he needs healing also, and the return to the comfort of his own wife. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased this worked for you.

Yes; that's Faramir, struggling in darkness and then gladly rising with the King's help...Excuse me while I enthuse over the Faramir/Aragorn relationship, which began here.
