Dear Linda: I don't recall reading "Restoration" or "Unshed Tears" before now, but both are up to your usual quality of fiction. "Unshed Tears" demonstated that even a hero does not always triumph. As for "Restoration," IMHO that might very well be the best drabble of this collection. A Phoenix is a particularly apt metaphor for Faramir. Not only is it a legendary bird that arises from the flames, as you have indicated, but as I recall, it rises even more beautiful than before. Besides, as you had Prince Imrahil observe, it is very good to see Faramir happy--and receiving a certain degree of recognition for his efforts, at last! Thank you for writing and posting these.
