Trust Frodo to do it right! He, at least, managed to get Sam out that door to talk with Rosie and to get it all out in the open! Yes! Love it, Celeritas! Author Reply: Funny how a cleverly placed word can do wonders more than all the cunning plans in the Shire, isn't it? Thank you!

Oooh, I was thrilled to see the box of spices again! And all your descriptions of baking made me so hungry that I had to go and make myself a sandwich... Lovely story, with good psychology and excellent characterisation, smooth and elegant prose - there's really nothing not to love. Author Reply: I'm hoping to do a spice box/wassail story each year, if the ideas keep coming. I already know what the topic of next year's is going to be. Thank you so much for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed this tale!

I'm not very good at reviewing and saying why I liked something, but I loved this, and I'll do my best. I love your characterizations. I love the way you managed to make a story that boiled down to "Sam finally kisses Rosie" into a very interesting and not at all overly-sappy story. And I love your writing in general. :-) Author Reply: Thank you so much! I'm glad especially that it was 1). interesting, and 2). not overly sappy. It's always a bit tough to make romance stories interesting, I think, but fortunately all of the Cottons volunteered immediately.

AT LAST!!! Last night I wanted to read this, and my internet went wonky. This morning I started it, and kept getting interrupted, and then I started again, and was almost late for work! It was worth the wait! I love it, love poor clueless Sam, love poor confused Rosie, love all the very helpful Cottons and lovely lovely Mr. Frodo bargaining with Rosie's mum! And I love all Rosie's brothers wanting to punch Sam in the nose, and Tom proposing to Marigold to give Sam a nudge. And I love all the schemes they come up with and how they all get out of hand. Oh, and by the way, I LOVE this story! Author Reply: So, if your sentiments for this story could be summed up in one word, what would that word be? *madcap grin* Thanks so much for the review. I'm glad you had as much fun reading it as I did writing it.
