Wonderful story. I stopped reading after the fourth chapter and decided to let you finish the story before I started reading again. I printed it out and read it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. I read this in my family room after saying goodnight to my family and my world was transformed into "Haradhrim Nights". So picturesque where your descriptions. And your characters where so believable. I hated them, I worried about them, and I felt for them. Of course, your Thorongil was what I expected. Each chapter brought out such emotions. My heart thumped and jumped. I was at the edge of my seat. The fight scenes were so outrageously realistic (especially loved the the "Dance of Blades"--awesome! I can still hear the echoing of "blood for blood" in my head). And of course I'm glad you wrote the bonus chapter. Beautiful ending to a most wonderful story. I'm so sad it ended. Author Reply: Yes, sometimes I do that too when the story is too suspensful. But here you really had the adventage of knowing it's finished, because I didn't know myself how it will end when writing it =) I must say it was very nice to read your review. There is no greater satisfaction for an author as when the story is able to draw the reader in and convey the emotions. Thank you very much for the review!

Now, this IS perfect! Now Kadar knows the identity of his friend fully! Yes, you know the King himself! Hooray! Love it, Mirach! Author Reply: He does now, and can tell even more amazing stories! ;) Thank you!

Aw, I'm glad you wrote this! I love how "Thorongil" kept his kingship a secret, and his "Good enough to be sure about that" line made me chuckle. A marvelous little bonus chapter. :) Author Reply: I imagine this could take place about a year or two after he was crowned, so he quite enjoyed the inkognito =) Of course he knew that Kadar will find out when his grandson returns, but Kadar, on the other side, knows him well enough to respect his wish and treat him like Thorongil when he next comes to visit ;) Thank you for the review!

Absolutely love this! The entire story was a wonderful read, and you did a fantastic job of weaving a coherant story together with the prompts...And you only missed one, if I remember correctly (the kilt?). I completely understand your initial desire to leave the reunion of the two old friends up to the readers' imaginations, but love this final chapter. I think you found a remarkable middle ground - giving us what we wanted, and yet leaving much of it to our imaginations. The fact that Aragorn/Thorongil enjoyed a moment of anonymity with his old friend was beautiful. It was likely one of the few times he was able to step back and be a 'regular fellow' again (aside from the royal escourt, of course) after he claimed the kingship. Author Reply: Thank you very much! I was surprised myself how well the prompts work with the story. That one was "Write a story or poem or create a piece of artwork reflecting identification with or connection to one's land, country or culture. OR write a story or poem or create a piece of artwork featuring kilts." I fulfilled the first part of it - I really wanted to find a way how to incorporate a kilt into it, but it was quite hard in Harad :D I'm really glad that the last chapter fulfilled the expectations of the readers. It's true that I wasn't sure about it at first, preferring the ending with expectation. But I still gave the friends some privacy in the chapter ;) And Aragorn enjoyed the last bits of anonymity while he could =) However, when he visits next time, Kadar will know who he is, but still treat him as Thorongil, because he understood his wish...

Oh that was wonderful!! Thankyou for that! There is somehow more satisfaction in reading about them meeting than imagining it in my mind and the ending was just perfect.(sniff) LOL! Yay! *jumpy* Yay! *happy dance* Yay! *big smile* *melts* Awwwww... This is just perfect, Mirach. I love it. I am not surprised that Aragorn didn't want to tell Kadar he was the king, but I am glad he found out in the end. :) And it's so sweet that Kadar named his first daughter after his sister. :) I love the celebration; let the new, happier Age begin. Thank you so much for this wonderful epilogue. Author Reply: I'm glad you like the chapter, you convinced mw to write it after all, along with some others... And Aragorn enjoyed the last bits of anonymity while he could =) But when he visits next time, Kadar will know who he is, but still treat him as Thorongil, because he understood his wish...
