| Oh ow ow ow... I feel like *I've* been sandblasted, reading this. Poor Thorongil! I loved this line: "The sandstorm made the world different, made the flow of time different, made him feel powerless against the wrath of the desert." Author Reply: I experienced a sandstorm in Egypt. There was a high wall between the hotel and the desert, but still we could feel the force of the wind, and the sharpness of the sand, and the finest grains of sand were everywhere, even in a closed chest. A sandstorm in the desert, in its full power must be something terrible... and of course if something is terrible, you can count of me to throw Aragorn right in the middle of it ;) | |
