A Realm Regained  by Baggins Babe 5 Review(s)
KittyReviewed Chapter: 1 on 3/12/2012
Sorry for the late review, I'm playing catch-up here after not being around much for quite a while.

It's great to see the races of Middle-earth reunite for this attempt to clear out Moria. It really has to be the first time since the Last Alliance, and I doubt it included Hobbits.

Speaking of which ... yeah, they should be glad Pippin's not there, or their food supplies would melt like snow in the sun!

Oh, that was unexpected to see Frodo coming! I am sure they were all happy – not only to see him again, but because it will improve the field kitchens beyond recognition.

Any hope for an update any time soon?

Author Reply: Delighted to find a review from you, Kitty. I don't have an internet connection at home at the moment and the library system won't allow me to log in so I'm rather limited at present. Lovely to find a new review and, time permitting, I am working on further chapters.

Author Reply: Hello Harrowcat,

Delighted to see a review from you, and I can never resist a squeeee! Yes, there will certainly be more - the Muse seems to have returned. Life has been totally crazy for a while but hopefully things are settling down a bit.

Oh BB!! Welcome back and I've missed reading your stories. In fact, I've been re reading Old Scores the last few nights and came in to finish it when I saw this at the top of the Main Page. :oD :oD :oD

I hope this means we'll get to see the end of Aragorn's Hundredth Birthday Celebrations, but I can be patient. :oD Until then...I can't wait to see where you take us and our friends this go round. Surprised that Frodo is part of this and am very interested in what part he will end up playing. As I just can't see him only helping the Healers and w/the meals. Call it a hunch, but an educated hunch. ;o)

A couple of things...

"I must thank you again for the beautiful gifts which you sent to us - Rose has found so many uses for the herbs and spices and the recipes have been a wonderful addition to our usual meals. Sam's fig trees and exotic plants are growing well, and as for your gift to me..........."

Azarafti smiled warmly. "You like your guardian of the hearth?" His gift had been a large lion, made of gold, with emeralds for his eyes. He was traditionally a guardian figure for the house.

"I think he's superb - and Rufus (our cat) is very interested!"

Oh!! I was wondering what Azarafti and Aragorn would come up for a gift to send to Frodo and this is so very perfect. Now of course you'll have to share w/us just what happened the day it arrived at Bag End, Rufus' thoughts and, most importantly, what the Children called it. :oD It really is a lovely and perfect gift for our dear Ringbearer.

And...

Frodo joined Aragorn, Faramir and all the commanders, and they discussed the coming military operation over a meal which was somewhere between dinner and supper.

A good friend of mine and her sisters call that "Lupper". She said since any meal between Breakfast and Lunch is called Brunch, then why not combine Lunch and Supper into a word to describe a meal between Lunch and Supper. I've never told her this, but it does sound rather "Hobbity", doesn't it?

Happy Sigh...I'm so glad to see the Muse has returned and you're writing again. I've missed your stories M'Dear and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Can't wait to see how this one ends up turning out. :o)

Author Reply: Tigger! How wonderful to hear from you - and thank you for the lovely review. I've missed these but life has been so chaotically busy for the last couple of years.

Yes, Lupper sounds very hobbity! I'm sure they would have names for all the meals 'in-between.'

Hope to carry on with Aragorn's birthday story but this plot bunny refused to be pacified until I'd started it. So many have turned up lately that I'm sre they've started breeding.......... :-)

YIPPEE!!!!! I am grinning so hard, if I grin any more it will meet at the back and the top of my head will fall off.

Uh, I guess this is my way of telling you I am glad to see this!

Author Reply: Now there's a picture! I really hope the top of your head remains where it is, otherwise reading and reviewing will be difficult - not to mention writing your own wonderful stories.

Thank you for telling me how much you liked it - I've missed this but life has been rather busy recently and the plot bunnies have taken up residence in numbers - what a pity they don't do the housework while they wait!

I'm thrilled beyond words to see a new story from you, BB! What a superb idea for a tale. The continuation of your 'verse (even including Rufus and Limlight) brings me great joy.

*happy bounces*

Author Reply: Glad I've made you bounce! I've been so busy recently and the plot bunnies have been breeding. Hoping to get round to the birthday story but had to start this one as it was biting my ankles!
