Towards the Setting Sun  by Mysterious Jedi 4 Review(s)

This was very sweet. I love the fact that Legolas is not only worried for his friends, but also whether the land of the West will truly be welcoming, i.e., whether or not the trees will be. Nicely done.

Author Reply: Thanks! He is definitely a Wood Elf at heart.

I liked how you captured Legolas“feelings - realistic and not overdone. Very well written. Something good came out of the sea-longing at last. Thank you. Lai

Did Tol Eressėa ring with the familiar songs of elm and beech? And they must be so old---perhaps some even remembered the light of the greatest Two Trees ever made. Would such stately trees deign to let a Wood Elf climb into their branches?

What a fascinating and natural thing to wonder about.

"...my brother Aulė would be delighted to have a Dwarf dwelling in the West. Indeed, he has hardly stopped talking about his desire to meet Gloin’s son."

Awwww, Gimli would be so honored and amazed to know that. I like this way of showing how Legolas knew it would be all right to wait, and to bring Gimli with him. A very nice story!

Author Reply: Thank you! I'm sure Gimli will be astounded when he finally gets to meet Aule.
